The Purple Tea 2004
April 24, 2004. Delta Omicron Omega Chapter held a 'Purple Tea' at Carter Tabernacle CME Church. The Purple Tea is a program where women discuss the risks and educate about Breast Cancer in the African American community. Soror Barbara Burns relates her personal story about Breast Cancer. One of the presenters demonstrated the type of pressure that should be used when examining the breast and the tissue surrounding the breast. It is very important that each woman performs a monthly self breast examination.
